Sculpted: Shadow
$2,200.00
Plaster on canvas, sculpted by hand, using the blackest water-based acrylic paint
Year: 2025
“Sculpted: Shadow” is suspended imprint of the torso, emerging from the depths of a blackened void. The form is cast in matte plaster and painted in the blackest black pigment, absorbing light, silencing detail. It feels both present and absent, as though memory has taken shape and then receded again.
This work explores the tension between physical presence and emotional distance. It is a study in contrast: form and formlessness, exposure and concealment. A shadow not of darkness alone, but of what it means to be seen, remembered, and partially withheld.
Framed: 36 × 36 in floating black metal frame
